When the distance between the transducer and the object changes, the sensor knows there is a moving object. It then measures how long the wave took to come back.This helps the sensor judge how far away an object is. The ultrasonic wave then reverberates back to the transducer. A transducer inside the motion sensor sends out an ultrasonic wave. They have a high frequency and can not be heard by humans. Ultrasonic waves are a vibration that is sent through a medium like air, metal, or water. Ultrasonic sensors: Active ultrasonic sensors send waves at objects around an area, to detect motion. These attributes consist of temperature, mass, speed, pressure, heat, or bodies (like people). Sensors capture and translate certain physical attributes into observable electrical impulses from certain surroundings. Sensors detect physical, biological, or chemical properties and turn them into interpretable signals to get information. A GPS is a navigation system that uses satellites. A radar is a sensor used for detection and tracking by the means of electromagnetic waves. Radar, GPS, thermal sensors, photoelectric sensors. They detect the properties of an environment and/or the changes to it. Proprioceptive sensors measure internal values for the system. Exteroceptive sensors measure the environment. It collects signals to find changes in an environment and its reaction is based on what it is designed to do.
